From conducting choirs and orchestras to the invention of an electronic tuning fork

Laurence Equilbey is the creator of e-tuner, and the founder of the company Boreal Concept, dedicated to its development and commercialisation.

Born in 1962, after musical studies in Paris, Vienna and Stockholm, which lead her to conducting choirs and orchestras, Laurence Equilbey quickly earns distinction in the "classical" musical world by her capacity to create and innovate.
When still very young, she founds the "accentus" Choir, and in parallel "Le Jeune Choeur de Paris" (the young Paris Choir) which became in 2002 the first training centre for young singers within the Conservatoire National for the Paris Region.

From 1998 to 2006, she is the conductor of the Rouen Opera. She is also invited to conduct some of the most prestigious international orchestras and participates in the best known lyrical art Festivals. Laurence Equilbey is the 2003 winner of the International Musical Press grand prix.
Throughout her career, Laurence Equilbey has deepened her contacts with some of the world’s best known composers, conductors and choirmasters, singers and musicians.

accentus, first user of e-tuner, is
the 2008 choir winner of the french « Victoires de la Musique Classique »

Created in 1991, the Choir accentus, which specia- lises in the performance of contemporary music and a cappella singing, is today a group of 32 professional singers performing in the most prestigious French and International Festivals, directed by Laurence Equilbey or other renowned conductors.
In 2008, accentus will commision two musical pieces from Brice Pauset and Philippe Manoury, to demons- trate e-tuner’s new exceptionnal functionnalities.
